Saturation to Brightness creates a unique effect in an image. While this filter can be used as a filter that enhances subtle colors in an image, the most common use is as a special effects filter to exaggerate colors and the brightness of the colors to provide a glowing and often dimensional effect to an image.
Saturation to Brightness is best applied to images with soft colors and where exaggerating colors will create depth in the image. Keep in mind that when applying Saturation to Brightness, the filter exaggerates image color, structure, and detail. If you are applying this filter to jpg and low-quality images, jpg artifacts and similar detail will become more visible. |
